In addition to her performance career, Jaclyn is passionate about fostering community and connection in opera, and is deeply committed to supporting local groups and nonprofits. She is the Founder of The Phoenix Leadership Project the creator/facilitator of the Association for Opera in Canada’s RBC Artist Fellowship/Mentorship, the Programs Manager for Opera 5’s Portfolio Artist Internship Program, and regularly provides professional development workshops for early-career artists through organizations like Opera InReach and the Marigold Music Programs. Along with her research and performance around Jewish music from the Holocaust, Jaclyn educates about Holocaust art and antisemitism in opera with her duo, Likht Ensemble.

Jaclyn dives into her experience as a portfolio or mosaic artist with a multi-faceted career path as a speaker for McGill’s TED-X conference. She shares myriad reasons for exploring rich opportunities that come with diversifying your skill set.

The Phoenix Leadership Project
The Phoenix Leadership Project (PLP) was a Canadian charity (2016-2022), Founded by Jaclyn, that supported youth leadership development through personal growth and professional development programming. This included free workshops and group training sessions, one-on-one mentorship, and the annual Leadership Conference, a four-day retreat for youth leaders aged 14-25. Leaders were exposed to topics such as effective communication, time management, resilience, innovative thinking, and global advocacy.
